Henderson impresses Jets

Former Bantams goalkeeper Paul Henderson has joined the Newcastle Jets on a short-term deal until August 27.

Henderson has impressed the Jets’ coaching staff during a fortnight’s trial to sign up for the A-League club as an injury replacement for the injured Neil Young.

“Certainly bringing in a goalkeeper of Paul’s experience is a fantastic thing for the club,” Jets CEO John Tsatsimas said.

“It’s not always easy to source high-quality recruits as injury replacement players just prior to the season starting, but we’ve been very fortunate to secure Paul’s services in Neil’s absence.”
